This course teaches the experienced PICC clinician how to adequately supervise and precept a new inserting clinician.
Adding ultrasound guidance to an existing PICC program increases the rate of successful insertions to an average of greater than 90%. This short program is for the beginner user and covers the basics of the ultrasound.

This course addresses everything you need to know to begin placing PICCs under supervision. After completion of the program and the post test, you will perform a supervised simulated insertion at your facility or at a training facility. NOTE: This is a prerequisite course in the PICC Certification program.
