IV Therapy Mastery Learning

IV Therapy Mastery Learning begins your journey toward the lifetime Mastery Certificate and inclusion in the Mastery Certificate Registry. The IV Therapy Mastery Certificate provides demonstrable proof of knowledge, skills and experience for defined areas within the scope of practice for the clinician performing peripheral intravenous therapies. The Mastery Certificate serves as validation of the clinicians ability to perform peripheral intravenous therapy with a high level of knowledge of management skills, best practice techniques, and infection prevention principles for IV Therapy. Mastery Certificates are earned through a process by which an agency grants recognition to an individual who has met predetermined standards specified by that agency. Competency is established by the employer or preceptor. PICC Excellence certifies that the candidate has met certain standards of knowledge and training specific to peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, venipuncture, dressing change and catheter removal.
